Business card QR code: share your contact details in one scan
No more lost business cards. A QR code on your card lets contacts save all your information directly to their address book.
Why add a QR code to your business card?
Add in one tap
The contact is saved directly — name, phone, email, website, position, company.
Always up to date
Change number or email? Update your contact page without reprinting cards.
No manual entry
Zero typos, zero lost information. Import is complete and instant.
Analytics included
Know how many times your card was scanned and from which countries — useful after a trade show.
Two approaches: static vCard or dynamic link
Static vCard
The QR code directly encodes the vCard format (name, phone, email...). The device imports it without going through a URL. Works offline.
Not editable after printing. If your info changes, new QR code required.
Dynamic link (recommended)
The QR code points to a URL (your LinkedIn profile, contact page, About page...). Editable at any time, analytics included.
Recommended if your information may change.
Create your business card QR code
- 1
Choose your contact page
Option A: your LinkedIn profile (recommended if you are active). Option B: a Contact page on your website. Option C: a hosted vCard (.vcf) for direct import into the address book.
- 2
Create the QR code in PxlQR
In the dashboard, New QR code → paste your URL. Choose a dynamic QR code to be able to change the destination later without modifying the printed QR code.
- 3
Polish the appearance
Your business card reflects your professional image: use your brand colors, add your logo. PxlQR generates a QR code exportable in 1200px and SVG — perfect for the printer.
- 4
Integrate into your card
Send the PNG or SVG file to your printer. Add a small note like Scan for my contact details under the QR code. Allow at least 2×2 cm for the QR code on the card.
Trade show usage
After a trade show, check your QR code analytics. The number of post-event scans tells you how many contacts looked you up after meeting you — far more reliable than counting cards handed out.
Beyond the business card
- Email signature — QR code pointing to your contact page or calendar
- Conference or trade show badge — quick scan for participants
- Portfolio for freelancers — QR code leading to your work
- Personal landing page (Linktree-like) — all your links in one QR code
- Professional plaque — medical practice, notary, craftsman
